Community Meeting: Joyful Effort & Volunteering

Thubten Kunga Ling 201 SE 15th Terrace Suite 206, Deerfield Beach, FL, United States

Joyful effort keeps our Center thriving as a home for the Dharma. We have no paid staff, so the help of volunteers is critical to keeping our programs going and creating a welcoming and thriving community. Volunteering is a great way to share your talents or interests, have fun and help the Center bring benefit to others. No matter how small the task, no matter your age or skill level, your contribution of time is extremely meaningful and will help to bring classes, teachings and peace of mind to many people. Join us for a casual community meeting to discuss volunteer opportunities at the Center. Attend in-person at the Center or virtual via Zoom.

These teachings can be found in the book Buddhism in a Nutshell.

Another world is Possible with Venerable Amy

Thubten Kunga Ling 201 SE 15th Terrace Suite 206, Deerfield Beach, FL, United States

As we emerge from the global Covid experience, the path may seem littered with confusion, violence, and alienation. Rather than grow dismayed by external experiences that show cruelty and heartlessness, how can we use our vulnerability to effectively channel this energy into more supportive practice? This program explores a path of inner transformation by being present with our pain, fear, and aversion and incorporates mindfulness, lojong (mind training), emptiness, and self-compassion exercises to help us move through these less-than-comfortable states. By opening our hearts in kindness to ourselves, the potential exists for our external reality to shift more beneficially as well. More information on Venerable Amy
